This page is designed to assist with the diagnosis and troubleshooting of issues related to newly installed Evolution3 SmartFold machines only. If you have an older machine that has been in use for several years, please refer to this page instead >
Please look through the sections below to identify the issue that most closely matches your problem. You will find information on possible causes and guidance on how to resolve the issue.

1A Something is wrong with my levers 1B My levers don’t fit correctly (see 1D) 1C My levers are sitting at an angle |
Handles have been fitted incorrectly or the wrong way round. If the handles are forced into an incorrect position the end block will become damaged and the warranty voided. In severe cases parts may need replacing. | Refer to 4.1 in the manual >
Or watch this video on fitting the levers > |
1D My levers don’t fit in the gap available | A little space in the gap is needed after transit and install. Easy to rectify. | See a short guide on how to fix this issue > |

4A The blade does not sit in the groove along the whole length 4B My blade is hitting the base in parts along the length |
This is set in the factory so in the majority of instances indicates the bench surface is not level and flat. Refer back to the manual – Section 2 if fitted to a SmartFold bench or Section 3 for a non-Keecnut bench.
On some rare occasions the bench surface is good once checked and the machine has been dislodged in transit and will need adjusting manually. See guide Adjusting The Evolution3 SmartFold slideway. |
Section 2 – if fitted to a SmartFold bench >
Section 3 – if fitted to a non-Keencut bench >
This process must be done with caution. Please request our guide for adjusting the Evolution3 SmartFold slideway from [email protected]. |
