A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our company for an experienced Operations Supervisor.
As Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that you manage, plan and co-ordinate shop floor staff and resources. The performance of the areas should be maximised through exceeding customer & business requirements. The jobholder must supervise day to day work activities and provide effective communication, leadership and motivation.
Key responsibilities in the role:
- Ensure high standards of Health & Safety throughout the operation
- Direct the team’s daily activities across manufacturing
- Plan, manage and deploy team members to meet operational requirements
- Drive and deliver operational KPI’s – SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, People)
- Support the Operations Manager with delivering team members performance reviews and development plans
- Manage ongoing training programmes
- Actively contribute and support the company’s continuous improvement programme
Key skills and experience in this role:
- Previous supervisory experience within the manufacturing sector (2+ years’ experience)
- Strong man management skills
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Lean Manufacturing experience desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience that demonstrates a capability to work on own initiative
- IT literate (MS Office)
- Good knowledge of health and safety in the work place including conducting local risk assessments
- Can-do approach
- Flexibility to working hours
- Have an aptitude for practical work as a hands-on approach will be essential

- Days only (Flexibility will be required) – (Mon-Thurs – 08:00-17:00) / (Fri – 08:00 – 16:00)
