Let me apologize if my english is far from perfect, I am french. I have a question about the Start of Cut Finger, sometimes it’s moving a little bit backĀ when I insert the blade and then I get a little beginning overcut.
When I make wrong and how to avoid that problem ? Just a question of strengh ? Thanks for your help.
Hi Philippe,
Firstly, your English is actually very good, and an awful lot better than my French!Ā The start of cut finger (the aluminium block our push down) has two purposes.Ā It both positions the blade in the correct position and by pressing down on it firmly holds the cutting head in position preventing it from moving away from you as the blade enters.Ā So as you say it is a question of strength when pushing the finger down, you will notice there are teeth on the underside of it to help.
I hope that helps, please let us know if we can be any further assistance.
Thanks a lot. Now I understand everything I hope. I missed the teeth on the underside. I was just pushing it against the board. I think you should add that in your manual.
Yes, good point, I have to say I thought it did, we will get it changed. Thanks
