Replacing the multi cutter return spring on an Excalibur 5000

Use this guide if you are needing to replace the spring on the multi cutter head (lower head) on the Excalibur 5000.

1. Locate the short leg of the spring

Locate the short leg (A) of the spring as shown.

Point the short leg towards the gap as shown by arrow B then feed the coil of the spring onto the plastic boss (C).

The short leg of the spring should touch the underside of the nut as shown (D).

Wind the spring up and locate the long end of the spring in the notch under the screw boss as shown.
