Introduction

How to use Keencut branded video content

By default our videos include a Keencut styled title page, our logo in the top-right corner throughout the video, and a branded closing sequence. If you are happy with this please use the Keencut branded videos.

The easiest way to add our video content to your website is by using a Youtube embed link. Simply click share below the video on YouTube. The first option, embed, will give you a link to add to your web page, which will allow visitors to view the video without leaving your site.

Create your own branded videos using our white label content

If you want to add your own branding and contact details to a Keencut video, download our white label videos. These have no explicit Keencut branding, so you are free to add your own company logo and contact details. You can also customise the captions and voice-over if you want to. We have tried to make this as easy as possible for you, so for each video you will have the choice of downloading versions with or without voice-over. You can also download subtitle/caption files and an Adobe Premiere Pro package so that you can edit individual items.

Promote your other video content using an End Screen on YouTube

When you post a video to YouTube there is an option to add an end screen, promoting other videos or playlists or encouraging viewers to subscribe to your channel. This can remain on screen for a minimum of 5 seconds and a maximum of 20 seconds.

All Keencut videos are provided with an extra 20 seconds at the end, to allow you to add an end screen. If you want to remove the 20 second end sequence you can do this with the editing tools in YouTube, or by using video editing software.

Voice over and captions

Keencut’s normal approach to videos on YouTube is to use a UK English voice-over plus closed captions. Closed captions can be controlled by the viewer. We are in the process of adding translated closed captions to all of our YouTube videos. The easiest way to add closed captions if you load our content to YouTube is to upload our caption (,srt) files.

We also provide open caption versions of our videos. Open captions are burnt into the video file. These are useful for situations where you are not sure if the viewer will hear the voice-over, for example if the video is playing as background in a reception area, demo room, or on your trade show stand, or when you share it in your social media feed.

If you want to create open captions in a style to match the your own brand you can do this using the .srt caption file download.

Help us evaluate these resources

We are still in the process of developing a full suite of video resources, the resources we have so far are all live and available for use, so please take advantage of them as soon as you can. and let us know how you get on when you post content to your website or social media channels.
