Keencut’s first ever products were for the picture framer. We began trading in 1982 when our founder invented a new type of oval and circle cutter. The product’s success led Keencut to produce a completely new design of straight-line mount cutters, or if you are in the USA, mat cutters. Our pioneering use of aluminium extrusions, early adoption of CNC and CAD technology, and high build quality transformed equipment in the picture framing industry.

This machine can instantly swap from cutting mountboard to glass, to MDF. Every blade cuts down the same line, so all materials are a perfect frame fit. The angled, Easy Measuring Scale and flip-in/out measuring stops provide fast, repeatable precision accuracy. There is no need to alter production stops for different materials, so it’s quick to set up for one-off jobs or repeatable volume cutting.
