Evolution

The new Keencut Evolution is an integrated wide format cutting system designed to revolutionise the speed, accuracy and convenience of the finishing process. Intended to fit any bench or attach to the purpose built Keencut Cutting Centre the all new Evolution shares the same outstanding 1:15000 straightness accuracy guarantee of the world renowned Javelin Xtra cutter bar.

The unique four piece cutter slideway and torsion bar extrusion combines with the all new full length base plate to create a cutting machine that will meet the challenges of the most demanding operator and enhance valuable artwork.

The integral lift and hold mechanism of the new Evolution, operable from either end, ensures consistent straightness even under flex, while the swing-over and under-bench stowaway facility provides maximum working convenience and space efficiency. The built-in textile cutting track and textile cutting attachment (included) add the final refinements to the most versatile, accurate and simple to use wide format cutting system ever. Available in five practical sizes, from 1.6 to 3.6 metres, the Keencut Evolution has been created to handle the output of every size and type of roll feed or flatbed printer with the capability to cut materials as diverse as flag, banner, card, PVC Foamboard, foamcore and much more.

Introduction to the SteelTraK

The STEELTRAK has been designed and built by Keencut engineers to surpass all current standards and meet the exceptional demands of the 21st century sign industry.
Building on the huge success of the all-purpose Keencut Excalibur, and recognising the increasing demands of thicker, tougher sign materials, the design brief was simple. “Create a brand new vertical cutting machine exclusively for the Sign Maker. It must be the best manual cutter ever made but offer exceptional value for money. It must be strong, versatile, capable, easy to use, virtually maintenance free and built to last almost indefinitely. It must withstand the closest scrutiny, the toughest tests and deserve a place in every sign making workshop”.

Introduction to the Sabre

Efficiently engineered for one off or volume production, the Keencut SABRE offers the same exact cutting capabilities as the Keencut PRACTIK and is constructed on an anodised aluminium baseboard. The SABRE is designed for use on a bench or attached to the optional stand. Using the lockable castors (included) Sabre can be moved and positioned alongside any wide-format printer. Also available with optional waste catcher and roll feed the Sabre is a versatile cutter with no equal.

A recess integral to the base protects the blade tip when cutting and a cutting mat can be added for cutting textiles. Full length silicon rubber grip strips in the SABRE base and underside of the cutter bar clamp materials when cutting and provide protection to even the most sensitive surfaces. The self adjusting hinges give lay-flat cutting on all materials up to 13mm (0.5”) in thickness.

SteelTraK Vee Groove in Operation

The new Vee Groove attachment for the SteelTraK is the first an only tool of its kind. This video demonstrates how easily and cleanly the accessory cuts a shape out of Dibond and PVC foamboard.

Consistent with all other SteelTraK tools the new Vee Groove attachment operates in a single pass, generates absolutely no dust and requires no additional finishing making it ideal to place in the same room as a printer. Already in development is an additional 45° tool, which will be ready for the market in in the beginning of July.
